Atkinson Toyota Fishing Report for May 22

AUSTIN (AP) -- Here is the weekly fishing report as compiled for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for May 21. (Report also available on Web as www.txfishing.com.)

CENTRAL

BASTROP: Water lightly stained. Black bass are good on watermelon red crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and soft plastics. Crappie are good on minnows over brush piles in 2025 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on live bait and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

BELTON: Water clear; 74 degrees; 2.70' high. Black bass are fair trolling Rat-L-Traps. Hybrid striper are good on minnows under lights at night. White bass are good on minnows. Crappie are good on minnows and green tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on hot dogs. Yellow catfish are slow.

BROWNWOOD: Water stained; 72 degrees; 1.87' low. Black bass are excellent on flukes, buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, and GrandeBass 4" Finesse worms on giggyhead jigs near docks, and on spring craw Persuader crankbaits along the main lake shoreline in 812 feet. Hybrid striper are fair trolling white/chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are excellent on Li'l Fishies and minnows off lighted docks. Crappie are good on Li'l Fishies in 210 feet. Channel catfish are good on live bait. Yellow catfish are good on live bait.

BUCHANAN: Water clear; 71 degrees; 3.03' low. Black bass are good on Daiquiri Skip-N-Pop topwaters, Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps, and weightless wacky rigged green pumpkin Whacky Sticks with chartreuse tails along break lines of creek bluffs early in 412 feet, and areas with submerged brush in pockets of creeks. Striped bass to 23" are good on topwaters and Rat-L-Traps from Flag Island to Black Rock on the surface at first light in 20-30 feet, jigging white Curb's bucktail jigs, and drifting live bait through schools. White bass are slow to fair trolling Shad Raps and jigging Pirk Minnows and Tiny Traps over rock piles in 2030 feet. Crappie are fair on minnows and Curb's crappie jigs. Channel catfish are good on live bait and cut bait. Yellow and blue catfish are good on juglines and trotlines baited with live bait.

CANYON LAKE: Water clear; 71 degrees; 0.75' low. Black bass are good on Texas rigged watermelon red Whacky Sticks, JDC Skip-N-Pop topwaters, and pumpkin 1/4oz. Curb's Erratic jigs in 612 feet along bluff ledges. Striped bass are slow to fair trolling Gizz 4 crankbaits and vertically jigging white Curb's striper jigs. White bass are fair on Road Runners upriver in 48 feet. Smallmouth bass are good on root beer JDC curl tail grubs/craws, smoke/red tubes, and silver flake Whacky Sticks on ball jigheads along main lake points and ledges in 1015 feet. Crappie are fair to good on Curb's crappie jigs and live minnows around submerged brush piles along break lines. Channel catfish are fair in the upper end of the lake. Yellow and blue catfish are fair on juglines and trotlines in creeks.

COLEMAN: Water clear; 71 degrees; 2.02' low. Black bass are good on watermelon red soft plastic lizards, crankbaits, and electric blue worms. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on live bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) Water murky. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on minnows and silver spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on stinkbait and nightcrawlers.

FAYETTE: Water lightly stained; 75 degrees. Black bass are good on shad patterned shallow running crankbaits and Texas and Carolina rigged soft plastic worms in 420 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on juglines baited with shrimp and shad in 1012 feet.

GRANBURY: Water clear; 0.58 low. Black bass are good on watermelon red and chartreuse soft plastics, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are fair on white bucktail jigs. White bass are fair on minnows and watermelon spinnerbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait, liver, and frozen shrimp.

GRANGER: Water murky; 75 degrees; 2.70 high. Black bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on jigs in 512 feet. Blue catfish are fair on cut bait. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch in Willis Creek Park.

LBJ: Water stained; 72 degrees; 0.58 low. Black bass are fair on watermelon red Flukes, watermelon JDC Skip-N-Pop topwaters, Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps, and weightless green pumpkin wacky rigged Whacky Sticks along riprap on seawalls and break lines of flats early in 410 feet. White bass are slow to fair trolling Shad Raps. Crappie are very good on minnows and white Curb's crappie jigs over brush piles in 10 feet. Channel catfish are good on minnows and dipbait. Yellow and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch and carp.

NAVARRO MILLS: Water murky; 75 degrees; 1.80 high. Black bass are good on soft plastic worms and spinnerbaits. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on shad among stumps in 15 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

PROCTOR: Water clear; 75 degrees; 0.15 high. Black bass are good on crankbaits. Striped bass are excellent on live bait. White bass are excellent on live bait. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on shad in the upper end of the lake. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live bait.

SOMERVILLE: Water murky; 72 degrees; 0.27 high. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are good on live shad off points. White bass are good on live shad off points. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on dead shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

STILLHOUSE: Water clear; 74 degrees; 2.67 high. Black bass are excellent on minnows, perch, crawfish, and plum Zoom Super Flukes. White bass are fair on minnows early and late. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on chicken livers and doughbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

TRAVIS: Water clear; 71 degrees; 2.31 low. Black bass are good on chrome chuggers, green pumpkin worms, and grubs in 520 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on bait shrimp and nightcrawlers in 2035 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

WALTER E. LONG: Water clear; 73 degrees. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows in the weeds. Red ear perch are excellent on nightcrawlers in the weeds. Channel and blue catfish to 10 pounds are good on nightcrawlers in the weeds. Yellow catfish are slow.

WHITNEY: Water clear; 0.87 low. Black bass are good on watermelon, watermelon red, and pumpkinseed Texas and Carolina rigged soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are fair on white/green striper jigs. White bass are fair on minnows, Charlie slabs, pet spoons, and spinnerbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and Lil Fishies. Catfish are good on frozen shrimp and stinkbait.

NORTHEAST

ATHENS: Water stained, 70-76 degrees; 0.5 high. Black bass are good on Yellow Magics and buzzbaits early, midday switching to crankbaits, Texas rigs and split shot rigs. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows and setting up on deeper structure. Catfish are good on prepared bait.

BOB SANDLIN: Water off color; 70-77 degrees; 0.21' high. Black bass are fair to good on Stanley Ribbits, shad pattern Senkos and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs over brush piles and around bridge columns. White bass are fair to good on topwaters and Humdingers. Catfish are good on prepared bait.

BRIDGEPORT: Water lightly stained; 69-73 degrees; 0.05' high. Black bass are fair on topwaters early, midmorning switching to Texas rigs, spinnerbaits and medium running crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and minnows over brush piles. White bass are good on Humdingers and topwaters. Hybrid striper are fair on live bait. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.

CADDO: Water stained; 71-75 degrees; 2.03' high. Black bass are fair to good on wacky rigs and jigs around stand alone cypress trees. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and minnows. White bass are good on chartreuse Road Runners. Catfish are fair to good on red wigglers and cut bait.

CEDAR CREEK: Water lightly stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.01 low. Black bass are good on soft plastic frogs early, soft plastics fished shallow throughout the day and medium diving shad pattern crankbaits. White bass are good on Humdingers and topwaters. Hybrid striper are fair to good on Sassy Shad and Humdingers. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs near deeper structure. Catfish are good on prepared bait.

COOPER: Water lightly stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.06' high. Black bass are good on buzzbaits early and late, midday switching to Texas rigs and Senkos. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows over brush piles. White bass are good on Rooster Tails and Little Georges. Hybrid striper are good on Sassy Shad and live shad. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.

FAIRFIELD: Water fairly clear; 72-80 degrees. No report available.

FORK: Water lightly stained; 70-75 degrees; 0.53 high. Black bass are fair to good on buzzbaits and frogs early, and throughout the day on crankbaits, Texas rigs and wacky rigs. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows around the bridges and over brush piles. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.

GRAPEVINE: Water off color; 70-76 degrees; 0.12 high. Black bass are good to excellent on crankbaits, 4" Senkos and shaky heads. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs setting up deep. White bass are good on Rooster Tails, topwaters and Humdingers. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers.

JOE POOL: Water off color; 70-75 degrees; 0.18 high. Black bass are good on Texas rigs, wacky rigs and crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs over brush piles. White bass are good on Little Georges and Road Runners. Catfish are fair to good on prepared bait and cut shad.

LAKE O' THE PINES: Water stained; 70-76 degrees; 3.74' high. Black bass are fair to good on Pop Rs early, Texas rigs, chartreuse/white spinnerbaits and jerkbaits. Crappie are good on minnows over brush piles. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.

LAVON: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.33 high. Black bass are fair to good on medium diving shad or firetiger crankbaits, Texas rigs and spinnerbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs moving to deeper water. Catfish are good on cut shad and prepared bait.

LEWISVILLE: Water off color; 70-74 degrees; 0.04' low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, crankbaits and jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs around the bridges. White bass are good on Humdingers and Rooster Tails. Hybrid striper are fair on Humdingers and large Rooster Tails. Catfish are good on prepared bait and cut shad.

MARTIN CREEK: 0.06 high. No report available.

MONTICELLO: Water fairly clear; 74-88 degrees; 0.24 high. Black bass are good on topwaters early, later switching to Texas rigs, spinnerbaits and chrome Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair to good on prepared bait.

PALESTINE: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.83' high. Black bass are fair to good on spinnerbaits, Texas rigs and pearl shallow running crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs over brush piles. Hybrid striper are white bass are fair to good on topwaters and Humdingers. Catfish are fair on cut shad.

RAY HUBBARD: Water stained; 70-75 degrees; 0.02 low. Black bass are fair to good on spinnerbaits, Carolina rigs and Texas rigs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs around the bridges and in the marinas. White bass are excellent on topwaters and Humdingers. Hybrid striper are fair to good on Humdingers and Sassy Shad. Catfish are fair to good on cut and prepared bait.

RAY ROBERTS: Water clear to lightly stained; 70-74 degrees; normal pool. Black bass are good on Booyah buzzbaits early, and Carolina rigged Ring Frys and Yum Dingers on points after sunup. Crappie are excellent over brush piles and good on isolated trees on jigs and minnows. White bass are excellent on topwaters and Super Spots (follow the birds). No reports on catfish.

RICHLAND CHAMBERS: Water off color; 70-76 degrees; 0.18 high. Black bass are fair to good on Senkos, Texas rigs and jigs. White bass are good on tail spinners and topwaters. Hybrid striper are fair to good on live shad. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs moving to deeper water. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.

TAWAKONI: Water lightly stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.35 high. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and wacky rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on Humdingers and minnows. Striped bass and hybrid striper are fair topwaters and live shad. Catfish are fair on cut shad and nightcrawlers.

TEXOMA: Water off color; 69-75 degrees; 0.48' high. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, spinnerbaits and Carolina rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Striped bass are good to excellent on topwaters and live shad. Catfish are fair to good on cut and live shad.

WEATHERFORD: Water stained; 70-75 degrees; 0.17 low. Black bass are fair to good on spinnerbaits and Texas rigged Power Worms. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers. White bass are good on Humdingers and minnows.

WRIGHT PATMAN: Water lightly stained; 70-74 degrees; 11.37' high. Black bass are good on Texas rigs, Senkos and finesse jigs. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. Catfish are fair on prepared baits.

SOUTH

AMISTAD: Water clear; 76 degrees; 14.96 low. Black bass to 8 pounds are excellent on Yamamoto Senkos, minnows, and watermelon and watermelon red soft plastics, and on topwaters early. Striped bass to 12 pounds are good on swimbaits, Sassy Shad, and Rat-L-Traps. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Catfish are fair on cheesebait and punchbait. Yellow catfish to 30 pounds are good on trotlines baited with live perch. Mexican fishing licenses are required to fish Mexican waters. Everyone in the boat must have a Mexican fishing license whether fishing or not. Mexican boat permits are no longer required.

BRAUNIG: Water stained; 72 degrees. Black bass are fair on crankbaits and dark soft plastics in reeds and near the dam. Striped bass are excellent on liver and perch off points near the pier, and down rigging spoons near the dam and jetty. Redfish are good on perch, shad, and silver spoons. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on shrimp, cheesebait, cut bait, and liver near the dam.

CALAVERAS: Water stained; 72 degrees. Black bass are fair on dark soft plastic worms and crankbaits over reed beds and in the cove near the park store. Striped bass are good on spoons and striper jigs near the dam and the crappie wall, and on chicken livers and shad near the dam and power lines. Redfish are excellent down rigging silver and gold spoons in 1020 feet, on live perch, tilapia, and crawfish near the power lines, and on live bait along the crappie wall. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are excellent on liver, shrimp, cheesebait, and shad. Blue catfish are good on cut bait and liver near 181 Cove and the railroad bridge. Yellow catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON: Water lightly stained; 73 degrees; 1.62 low. Black bass are good on deep running crankbaits and watermelon red lizards, and fair on spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows. Drum are fair on nightcrawlers and spoons. Channel and blue catfish are good on punchbait. Yellow catfish are fair on cut bait.

COLETO CREEK: Water clear; 78 degrees (86 degrees at discharge); 1.02 low. Black bass are fair on watermelon and chartreuse soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps in 1020 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on live bait and cut bait in 1525 feet. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch.

FALCON: Water murky from Marker 9 north; 77 degrees. Black bass are excellent on deep running crankbaits and fair on Carolina rigged soft plastics in 48 feet. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on cut bait and stinkbait in the river. Yellow catfish are fair on live shad. Mexican fishing licenses are required to fish Mexican waters. Everyone in the boat must have a Mexican fishing license whether fishing or not. Mexican boat permits are no longer required.

SOUTHEAST

CONROE: Water clear; 0.07 high. Black bass are good on watermelon red and pumpkinseed Texas and Carolina rigged soft plastics and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are good on minnows and chartreuse striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on stinkbait, frozen shrimp, and nightcrawlers.

GIBBONS CREEK: Water clear. Black bass are good on watermelon red and watermelon/green soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and white/blue tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait, bait shrimp, and liver.

HOUSTON COUNTY: Water clear; 78 degrees; 0.78 high. Black bass to 7 pounds are very good on Carolina rigged green pumpkinseed soft plastics and perch colored crankbaits near the dam in 11 feet. Crappie are very good on live minnows near the pump station in 712 feet and near the islands in 15 feet. White bass are good along the northeast shore. Bream are excellent on live worms off piers and near grass beds. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with perch and shad.

LIVINGSTON: Water stained; 75 degrees; 0.57 high. Black bass are fair to good on spinnerbaits and soft plastics. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on hellbenders, pet spoons, and Charlie slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Blue catfish are good on shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

SAM RAYBURN: Water lightly stained; 72 degrees; 1.07 low. Black bass are fair on watermelon red and pumpkinseed soft plastics and Brush Hogs. White bass are fair on minnows, hellbenders, and silver spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows and tube jigs over brush piles. Bream are fair on nightcrawlers. Catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait.

STEINHAGEN: 1.36 high. No report available.

TOLEDO BEND: Water clear; 72 degrees; 0.01 low. Black bass are good on soft plastic worms and crankbaits. Striped bass are fair on bucktail jigs. White bass are fair on silver spoons and slabs in the river. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs over baited holes in 12 feet. Bream are good on crickets and nightcrawlers. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait. Yellow catfish are slow. PANHANDLE

GREENBELT: Water lightly stained; 68 degrees; 25.75' low. Black bass are good on shad-colored crankbaits, white spinnerbaits or soft jerk baits, and black/blue jigs worked along timber line, points and humps, and Carolina-rigged watermelon or red soft plastics worked along grass lines and sandy bottom. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. White bass are good on live baits and chrome jerkbaits along riprap. Smallmouth bass are good on live baits, shad colored spinnerbaits or lipless crankbaits along riprap. Walleye are good on shad-colored crankbaits and live baits. Catfish are good on live baits and cut shad.

MACKENZIE: Water lightly stained; 63 degrees; 74.76' low. Black bass are fair on live bait, red/gold crawfish lipless crankbaits, and watermelon red soft plastics. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass and striped bass are good on minnows and crankbaits. Smallmouth bass are fair on live baits and jerkbaits. Walleye are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on live and prepared baits.

MEREDITH: Water lightly stained; 64 degrees; 76.58' low. Black bass are fair on black/blue jigs and live baits off rocky points and humps, and white spinnerbaits or live baits around timber. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. White bass are good on live bait and chrome jerkbaits. Smallmouth bass are fair on jerkbaits and live baits. Walleye are good on crankbaits and live baits along riprap and drop-offs. Channel catfish are good on live baits.

PALO DURO: Water lightly stained; 56 degrees; 59.45' low. Black bass are fair on live baits. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Smallmouth bass are fair on live baits. Walleye are fair on live bait. Channel catfish are good on live and prepared baits.

WEST

ALAN HENRY: Water lightly stained; 76 degrees; 1.44' low. Black bass are good on black/blue jigs, white spinnerbaits and watermelon red soft plastics fished shallow along timber and rocky points. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs.

ARROWHEAD: Water lightly stained; 70 degrees; 2.81' low. Black bass are good on swim-blade baits and spinnerbaits along rocky points and vegetation. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs at state park, Deer Creek Bridge, and shallow areas around flooded willows and mesquites in 4-6 feet. White bass are good schooling off rocky points in the lower part of lake and chasing shad in vegetation. Catfish are good on juglines and drift fishing with shad or punch bait.

COLORADO CITY: Water clear; 72 degrees; 6.24' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. White bass are slow. Catfish are slow.

FT. PHANTOM HILL: Water clear; 70 degrees; 0.57' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on live baits. Catfish are fair on live baits.

HUBBARD CREEK: Water lightly stained; 73 degrees; 0.30' low. Black bass are fair on minnows and red crawfish lipless crankbaits and shad-colored spinnerbaits along points, or black/blue jigs worked along timber and reeds. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. White bass and hybrid striper are good on live baits and inline spinnerbaits along humps and points. Catfish are good on live and prepared baits.

NASWORTHY: Water lightly stained; 73 degrees. Black bass are fair on live baits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Redfish are fair on live bait. White bass and striped bass are good on live baits. Catfish are fair on live and cut baits.

OAK CREEK: Water lightly stained; 70 degrees; 0.57' low. Black bass are fair on live baits. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on live baits.

O.H. IVIE: Water lightly stained; 74 degrees; 10.48' low. Black bass are good on white spinnerbaits, shad-colored crankbaits and soft jerkbaits, and live baits worked along humps, points and shallow tree lines. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on live baits, topwater lures, and crankbaits. Smallmouth bass are good on live baits and shad-colored spinnerbaits and crankbaits along points. Channel catfish are good on live baits.

POSSUM KINGDOM: Water stained 72 degrees; 1.16' low. Black bass are slow on Senkos, Flukes and silver Rat-L-Traps in the back of coves in the mid-lake area. Crappie are good on small jigs worked on wood structures in the mid-lake area creeks. White bass are fair on silver crankbaits in the south end of the reservoir on flats adjacent to creek channels. Catfish are fair on worms in the Rock Creek area coves.

SPENCE: Water lightly stained; 69 degrees; 50.66' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. White bass are slow. Striped bass and hybrid striper are slow. Catfish are slow.

STAMFORD: Water lightly stained; 71 degrees; 1.28' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. White and striped bass are fair on live baits. Catfish are fair on live baits.

SWEETWATER: Water lightly stained; 67 degrees; 4.44' low. Black bass are slow on live baits. Crappie are slow on live baits and jigs. White bass are slow. Catfish are slow on live baits.

WHITE RIVER: Water lightly stained; 67 degrees; 30.17' low. Black bass are fair on black/blue large soft plastic worms or black/red jigs, white spinnerbaits, and live baits along stickups and rocky points. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. Walleye are good on live baits and crankbaits. Channel catfish are good on live baits.

WICHITA: Water turbid; 71 degrees; 1.14' low. Crappie are fair near pavilion pilings and off dam. White bass and hybrid striped bass are fair on minnows or live shad in front of the dry spillway area. Channel catfish are fair drift fishing with shad and on trotlines. Boat launching is difficult due to low water conditions.

COASTAL

NORTH SABINE: Trout and redfish are fair to good while drifting slicks and birds on shrimptails and plum Bass Assassins and Sand Eel Jrs. Flounder are good on soft plastics tipped with shrimp in the marsh.

SOUTH SABINE: Trout are fair to good while drifting the Reef on plum and red shad Norton Sand Eels, Bass Assassins and Trout Killers. Trout, sheepshead, black drum and redfish are good at the Sabine Pass Jetty on live shad, mullet and shrimp.

BOLIVAR: Trout are fair to good at Rollover Pass and in the Bolivar Pocket on live shrimp and glow/chartreuse Bass Assassins, Sand Eels and Trout Killers. Redfish are good in the surf on cut- bait.

TRINITY BAY: Trout are fair to good on the scattered shell on glow/chartreuse and plum Trout Killers, Sand Eels and Bass Assassins. Trout, sand trout, redfish and croaker are fair to good on live shrimp in front of the Spillway.

EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on She Pups and plum Bass Assassins, Sand Eels and Trout Killers. Trout are fair to good in the Ship Channel on live croaker. Trout, Redfish and black drum are fair to good on live shrimp on the reefs.

WEST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good off the spoil banks on live croakers and free- lined shrimp. Trout are fair from the beachfront piers on glow plastics at night.

TEXAS CITY: Trout are fair to good on live croaker on the Dollar Flats. Redfish and black drum are good in Moses Lake. Trout, flounder, black drum, redfish and gafftop are fair to good at night from the piers on live shrimp and squid.

FREEPORT: Trout, sand trout and sheepshead are good at the Surfside and Quintana jetty on live shrimp. Trout and redfish are fair to good at San Luis Pass on live shrimp, topwaters, gold spoons and soft plastics.

EAST MATAGORDA: Trout are fair to good while drifting shell on pumpkinseed and plum Bass Assassins, Trout Killers, Sand Eels and live shrimp. Redfish are fair to good on the shell and near the grass on live shrimp under a popping cork and finger mullet.

MATAGORDA: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on red shad and black/chartreuse Bass Assassins, Norton Sand Eels and Trout Killers. Redfish are fair to good in Oyster Lake on live shrimp.

PORT O'CONNOR: Trout are fair to good on live croakers in Espiritu Santo Bay. Trout are good on the grass and sand flats on pumpkinseed/chartreuse and pepper/chartreuse Sand Eel Jrs., Trout Killers and Bass Assassins. Trout, black drum, sheepshead and redfish are good at the jetty on live shrimp and mullet.

ROCKPORT: Trout are good on the outside of Traylor Island and on the Estes Flats on live croakers and plum Sand Eels, Bass Assassins, Trout Killers and Stanley Wedgetails. Redfish are good around Allyn's Bight on live shrimp and topwaters.

PORT ARANSAS: Trout are good around the North Jetty on croakers and pumpkinseed/chartreuse Bass Assassins, Trout Killers, Hogies and Norton Sand Eels. Offshore is good for red snapper, dorado, amberjack and kingfish.

CORPUS CHRISTI: Trout and redfish are good on live shrimp and croaker around the spoil banks and on the shell in Nueces Bay. Redfish are good around the shell on live shrimp.

BAFFIN BAY: Trout are fair to good around the rocks and around Rocky Slough on plum, limetreuse and plum Trout Killers, Sand Eels, Bass Assassins and croakers. Trout are fair to good on shrimp and plastics on the grass beds in the Land Cut.

PORT MANSFIELD: Trout, redfish and flounder are fair to good on live bait in the Intracoastal. Redfish are good on bone Top Dogs and She Dogs in West Bay. Trout are good on live shrimp, topwaters and pepper/chartreuse shrimptails on the grass humps and guts.

SOUTH PADRE: Trout and redfish are fair to good on plum plastics and live shrimp at Three Island. Trout, jack crevalle and Spanish mackerel are showing at the jetty. Trout and redfish are good while drifting the flats on pumpkinseed/chartreuse Bass Assassins, Trout Killers, Hogies and Super Spook Jrs.

PORT ISABEL: Trout are fair to good on DOA Shrimp, Trout Killers, Bass Assassins, Sand Eels and live shrimp under a popping cork while drifting sand and grass. Trout and redfish are fair to good at Holly Beach on plum Bass Assassins, Sand Eels and Trout Killers.
