AROUND THE STATE
AUSTIN (AP) -- Here is the weekly fishing report as compiled for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for April 2. (Report also available on Web as www.txfishing.com.)
CENTRAL
BASTROP: Water clear. Black bass are good on chartreuse/white soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good on minnows and green tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and chicken livers. Yellow catfish are slow.
BELTON: Water clear; 59 degrees; 0.33' high. Black bass are fair on minnows and slabs. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows under lights at night. Channel and blue catfish are good on hot dogs and shrimp. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch.
BROWNWOOD: Water stained; 61 degrees; 1.11' low. Black bass to 6.7 pounds are excellent on chartreuse Bass Hogg spinnerbaits, craw Bass Hogg jigs, Persuader crankbaits, and 3/16oz. Pig Sticker Shaky Heads with GrandeBass 4" Trickster worms along the shoreline, among rocks, and near dead grass in 115 feet. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie to 1.75 pounds are excellent on Li'l Fishies and jigs near stick ups in 1-5 feet and near the Hwy. 279 Bridge. Channel catfish are fair on cut bait and nightcrawlers over baited holes in 810 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.
BUCHANAN: Water clear; 62 degrees; 2.67' low. Black bass are good on white/chartreuse 1/4oz. Terminator spinnerbaits, pumpkin/chartreuse tail Whacky Sticks, and albino/blue soft jerkbaits along drop-offs of points and pockets of creeks in 4-8 feet. Striped bass are fair to good tight lining live bait and vertically jigging silver 1/2oz. Perk Minnows and pearl 1/4oz. Blade Runners from Flag Island to the Willows in 28-35 feet. White bass are fair to good on 2" Spoiler Shads, Bleeding Shiner Tiny Traps, and live minnows in the upper end of the lake in 15-25 feet. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. Channel catfish are good on live bait. Yellow and blue catfish to 16 pounds are good on juglines.
CANYON LAKE: Water clear; 62 degrees; 0.01' high. Black bass are good on jerkbaits, 1/4oz. white Terminator spinnerbaits, pumpkin Whacky Sticks, and albino soft plastic jerkbaits along stickups in 3-8 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Smallmouth bass are good on Snap Back smoke/red tubes, root beer/green flake 3" curl tail grubs, and white 4" Whacky Sticks over rock piles and on ledges in 12-25 feet. Crappie are fair on live minnows upriver in 5-12 feet. Channel catfish are fair upriver. Yellow and blue catfish are good on juglines.
COLEMAN: Water clear; 64 degrees; 1.28' low. Black bass are good on dark soft plastic worms and lizards, and fair on spinnerbaits. Hybrid striper are fair on live shad. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.
COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) Water murky. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on minnows and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are fair on stinkbait and chicken livers.
FAYETTE: Water lightly stained; 68 degrees. Black bass are good on watermelon, watermelon red, and watermelon black/green Wacky Worms and Senkos in 210 feet, and on white and white/chartreuse spinnerbaits, and on pumpkinseed Dead Ringer worms along the outside edges of breaks. Channel and blue catfish are good on cut shad and shrimp over baited holes.
GRANBURY: Water clear; 0.40' low. Black bass are good on chartreuse/green soft plastic worms with white tails. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on minnows and slab spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are fair on shrimp and stinkbait.
GRANGER: Water murky; 64 degrees; 0.36' high. Black bass are very good on black soft plastic worms and jigs in 26 feet. White bass are good on minnows and white jigs on windy points upriver near Circleville. Crappie are good on jigs in 210 feet. Blue catfish are good on juglines baited with shad in 28 feet. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with goldfish and live perch.
LBJ: Water stained; 63 degrees; 0.13' low. Black bass to 6.5 pounds are good on 1/4oz. blue/white Terminator spinnerbaits, green pumpkin Whacky Sticks, and soft plastic jerkbaits in 3-6 feet. Striped bass to 24" are fair on 2" Spoiler Shads and 1/4oz. white bucktails early and at night. White bass are fair on Spoiler Shads, chrome/blue Tiny Traps, and 1/4oz. Blade Runners early. Crappie are good on 1/32oz. Curb's crappie jigs and live minnows in 2-4 feet. Channel catfish are good on live bait. Yellow and blue catfish are good on trotlines.
NAVARRO MILLS: Water stained; 66 degrees; 1.65' high. Black bass are fair on minnows. White bass are slow. Crappie to 2 pounds are good on black/orange tube jigs with pink heads. Channel and blue catfish are fair on minnows. Yellow catfish are slow.
PROCTOR: Water stained; 62 degrees; 1.38' high. Black bass are fair on soft plastic worms and lizards. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows in 1015 feet. Channel and blue catfish are fair on live shad. Yellow catfish are slow.
SOMERVILLE: Water murky; 64 degrees; 0.04' high. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.
STILLHOUSE: Water clear; 62 degrees; 0.27' high. Black bass are very good on shad along rocky ledges in 1720 feet. White bass are good on minnows upriver. Crappie are very good on worms and minnows. Channel and blue catfish are very good on stinkbait and chicken livers. Yellow catfish are slow. Carp are excellent on corn.
TRAVIS: Water clear; 64 degrees; 0.72' low. Black bass to 12 pounds are good on grubs, flukes, and watermelon lizards and worms in 412 feet. Striped bass to 4 pounds are fair on crankbaits, grubs, and minnows in 1030 feet. White bass are good on chrome crankbaits, white jigs, and minnows in 515 feet. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs in 515 feet. Channel and blue catfish to 8 pounds are fair on nightcrawlers and cut shad in 2030 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.
WALTER E. LONG: Water clear; 65 degrees. Black bass are good on green/red soft plastic worms near the dam. Hybrid striper are good on minnows along the bank at night. White bass are slow. Crappie are very good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on minnows and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.
WHITNEY: Water stained; 1.92' low. Black bass are good on pumpkinseed spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and soft plastics. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on silver spoons and minnows. Crappie are good on minnows and pink tube jigs. Catfish are good on live bait and frozen shrimp.
NORTHEAST
ATHENS: Water stained, 59-66 degrees; 0.37' high. Black bass are fair to good on Senkos, Texas rigs and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Catfish are good on prepared baits and nightcrawlers.
BOB SANDLIN: Water off color; 59-66 degrees; 0.11' high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged lizards, wacky rigged worms and chatterbaits. Crappie are fair on live minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs and jigging spoons. Catfish are fair on cut and prepared bait.
BRIDGEPORT: Water stained; 58-65 degrees; 1' low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, Texas rigs and Stanley Ribbits. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. White bass are fair to good on slabs and live shad. Hybrid striper are fair on live bait. Channel catfish are good on cut and prepared bait.
CADDO: Water stained; 57-65 degrees; 1.45' high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged Brush Hogs and Rat-L-Traps. White bass are fair on Rooster Tails and minnows. Yellow bass are fair on jigs and shrimp. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.
CEDAR CREEK: Water lightly stained; 58-65 degrees; 0.01' high. Black bass are fair on flukes, Rat-L-Traps and Texas rigs. White bass are good on slabs and Humdingers. Hybrid striper are fair on live bait and slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on cheese bait and nightcrawlers.
COOPER: Water lightly stained; 58-66 degrees; 2.56' high. Black bass are fair on Senkos, Rat-L-Traps and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. White bass are fair to good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs, live shad and Sassy Shad. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.
FAIRFIELD: Water fairly clear; 60-76 degrees. No report available.
FORK: Water fairly clear; 59-66 degrees; 0.43' high. Black bass are fair to good on red Rat-L-Traps, tubes and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Catfish are fair on prepared bait and nightcrawlers.
GRAPEVINE: Water stained to murky; 59-67 degrees; 5.77' high. Black bass are fair on wacky rigged finesse baits, Texas rigs and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs, with more being caught in the marinas. White bass are fair to good on slabs and Humdingers. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers.
JOE POOL: Water off color; 59-66 degrees; 1.7' high. Black bass are fair to good on jerkbaits, Texas rigs and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair to good on minnows and slabs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.
LAKE O' THE PINES: Water stained to murky; 59-67 degrees; 0.59' high. Black bass are fair on flukes, Texas rigs, spinnerbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.
LAVON: Water stained to murky; 58-66 degrees; 3.21' high. Black bass are fair to good on 4" Senkos, Texas rigs and chatterbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on cut shad and prepared bait.
LEWISVILLE: Water off color; 59-66 degrees; 1.44' high. Black bass are fair on chatterbaits, spinnerbaits and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair to good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs and Sassy Shad. Catfish are good on prepared bait and cut shad.

MONTICELLO: Water fairly clear; 68-82 degrees; 0.23' low. Black bass are fair to good on Rat-L-Traps, flukes and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.
PALESTINE: Water stained; 59-66 degrees; 0.35' high. Black bass are fair on Rat-L-Traps, Texas rigs and tubes. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Hybrid striper are fair on topwaters, Sassy Shad and live shad. White bass are fair to good on Humdingers. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.
RAY HUBBARD: Water stained; 59-67 degrees; 0.04' low. Black bass are fair to good on flukes, Senkos, spinnerbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs (moving shallow). White bass are fair to good on TNT slabs and Humdingers. Hybrid striper are fair on Humdingers. Catfish are fair on cut and prepared bait.
RAY ROBERTS: Water stained; 58-64 degrees; 1.56' high. Black bass to 9 pounds are good to excellent on Booyah Boogee Baits and 3/4oz. spinnerbaits (slow rolled). Crappie are moving to the shallows. White bass are good on Humdingers and CC Jigging Spoons off deep water points or by following the birds. Catfish are good over baited holes on prepared baits.
RICHLAND CHAMBERS: Water off color; 58-66 degrees; 0.06' high. Black bass are fair to good on Senkos, Texas rigs and Rat-L-Traps. White bass are fair on slabs and live shad. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs and live shad. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait and nightcrawlers.
TAWAKONI: Water lightly stained; 59-66 degrees; 0.89' high. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, Rat-L-Traps, Texas rigs and split shot rigged Ring Frys. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. WRIGHT PATMAN: Water lightly stained; 59-66 degrees; 14.54' high. Black bass are fair to good on flukes, Texas rigs and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on cut shad and prepared bait.
SOUTH
AMISTAD: Water clear; 61 degrees; 7.23' low. Black bass are fair on Lucky Craft jerkbaits, Revenge spinnerbaits, watermelon Yamamoto Senkos, and deep running crankbaits. Striped bass are good on slabs, minnows, and small crankbaits up the Rio Grande and Devil's rivers. White bass are good on slabs, minnows, and small crankbaits up the Rio Grande and Devil's rivers. Crappie are slow. Catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow. Mexican fishing licenses are required to fish Mexican waters. Everyone in the boat must have a Mexican fishing license whether fishing or not. Mexican boat permits are no longer required.
BRAUNIG: Water stained; 70 degrees. Black bass to 8 pounds are good along shorelines and structure. Striped bass to 6 pounds are fair to good on chicken livers and Tony Accetta spoons. Redfish to 25 pounds are good on live perch and tilapia. Channel catfish are excellent on shrimp, liver, and stinkbait. Blue catfish are fair on chicken livers, shrimp, stinkbait, and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.
CALAVERAS: Water stained; 70 degrees. Black bass to 7 pounds are good on soft plastic worms and grubs around reed beds along shorelines. Striped bass to 7 pounds are good on chicken livers, shad, and spoons. Redfish to 24 pounds are good on perch and shrimp on the bottom. Catfish are excellent on nightcrawlers, shad, and liver in 10-20 feet.
CHOKE CANYON: Water lightly stained; 69 degrees; 1.36' low. Black bass are good on swimbaits and Texas rigged soft plastic lizards. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and fair on jigs at night under lights. Drum are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on punchbait. Yellow catfish are good on punchbait.
COLETO CREEK: Water clear; 73 degrees (81 degrees at discharge); 0.41' low. Black bass are good on soft plastics and spinnerbaits in 58 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows in 1012 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with perch and liver. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch.
FALCON: Water clear lower end, lightly stained mid lake; 72 degrees. Black bass are excellent on watermelon red Brush Hogs and soft plastics, and chartreuse/white spinnerbaits in 26 feet. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow. Mexican fishing licenses are required to fish Mexican waters. SOUTHEAST
CONROE: Water clear. Black bass are fair on chartreuse/green spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and soft plastics in 512 feet. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and Curb's crappie jigs. Catfish are fair on stinkbait and shrimp.
GIBBONS CREEK: Water clear. Black bass are fair on watermelon red shallow diving crankbaits and soft plastics. Crappie are fair on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait and frozen shrimp.
HOUSTON COUNTY: Water clear; 69 degrees; 0.77' high. Black bass to 9 pounds are excellent on green flake worms, silver/blue Rat-L-Traps, and watermelon red Baby Brush Hogs near the islands and the marina in 28 feet. Crappie are excellent on live minnows on the north side of the lake around brush and boat docks. White bass are good along the northeast shore. Bream are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow.
LIVINGSTON: Water clear in creeks in the south end, stained in the main lake; 65 degrees; 1.19' high. Black bass are excellent on spinnerbaits and soft plastics. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Blue catfish are excellent on shad. Yellow catfish are slow.
SAM RAYBURN: Water stained; 68 degrees; 0.74' low. Black bass are good on Horny Toads and Super Flukes around shoreline grass in 1-3 feet, watermelon red Trick Worms and Senkos around hay grass in 4-6 feet, and Carolina rigged lizards and French fries around scattered hydrilla on main lake flats. Crappie are fair on live shiners and albino shad jigs around willows in 4-6 feet, and trolling black/chartreuse roadrunners over hydrilla in 6-10 feet. Catfish are good on juglines baited with prepared bait.
STEINHAGEN: 1.43' high. No report available.
TOLEDO BEND: Water clear; 67 degrees; 1.05' high. Black bass are good on chartreuse/blue spinnerbaits and shallow running crankbaits around hydrilla beds in 6-10 feet, and on camo and watermelon Wacky worms and Texas rigged lizards around docks and shallow cover near secondary points. Crappie are good trolling black/chartreuse jigs over hydrilla beds.
PANHANDLE
GREENBELT: Water lightly stained; 46 degrees; 26.73' low. Black bass to five pounds are fair on crawfish-colored crankbaits and spinnerbaits worked along points and drop-offs. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. White bass are good on live baits and lipless crankbaits along riprap. Smallmouth bass are fair on live baits and chrome jerkbaits along riprap. Walleye are good on crankbaits and live baits. Catfish are good on live baits.
MACKENZIE: Water lightly stained; 45 degrees; 73.60' low. Black bass are fair on live bait and jerkbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass and striped bass are good on minnows and lipless crankbaits. Smallmouth bass are fair on live baits. Walleye are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on live baits.
MEREDITH: Water lightly stained; 87 degrees; 75.76' low. Black bass are fair on Carolina-rigs and crankbaits off secondary points; and black/chartreuse jigs and live baits around rocky points. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. White bass are good on live bait. Smallmouth bass are fair on jerkbaits and live baits. Walleye are good on chrome black back jerkbaits and live baits along riprap and drop-offs. Channel catfish are good on live baits.
PALO DURO: Water lightly stained; 46 degrees; 56.56' low. Black bass are fair on live baits. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Smallmouth bass are slow on jigs and live baits. Walleye are fair on live bait. Channel catfish are fair on live and prepared baits.
WEST
ALAN HENRY: Water lightly stained; 58 degrees; 0.98' Black bass to six pounds are fair on black/blue jigs suspended in timber, lipless crankbaits and white spinnerbaits along outer tree lines. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs.
ARROWHEAD: Water lightly stained; 60 degrees; 2.46' low. Black bass are good on swimbaits and Texas-rigged worms fished shallow. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs at state park early and late in day, and around Deer Creek bridge pilings on minnows suspended 8-15 feet deep with spawning starting. White bass are slow trolling and jigging with silver slabs near Pawnee Point hump. Blue Catfish are good on juglines and drift fishing with shad or punch bait in the lower part of lake.
COLORADO CITY: Water clear; 65 degrees; 4.59' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. White bass are slow. Catfish are slow.
FT. PHANTOM HILL: Water clear; 64 degrees; 1.35' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on live baits. Catfish are slow on live baits.
HUBBARD CREEK: Water lightly stained; 65 degrees; 2.85' low. Black bass are fair on minnows along points and dark jigs suspended along timber and reeds. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. White bass and hybrid striper are fair on live baits and lipless crankbaits over humps and along points. Catfish are good on live baits and cut shad.
NASWORTHY: Water lightly stained; 65 degrees. Black bass are fair on live baits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Redfish are fair. White bass and striped bass are fair on live baits and inline spinnerbaits. Catfish are fair on live baits.
OAK CREEK: Water lightly stained; 60 degrees; 0.85' low. Black bass are slow on live baits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on live and cut baits.
O.H. IVIE: Water lightly stained; 57 degrees; 10.68' low. Black bass are fair on shad-colored crankbaits and spinnerbaits, and live baits. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on live baits and jerkbaits. Smallmouth bass are fair on live baits and crankbaits. Channel catfish are fair on live baits.
POSSUM KINGDOM: Water stained 59 degrees; 1.45' low. Black bass are slow on shad-colored crankbaits in the southern part of the lake. White bass are fair on silver slabs on the deep points in the mouth of the river and the Rock Creek area. Stripers are good below the dam on 1 oz. white jigs. Catfish are good on set lines baited with liver in the cover adjacent to Rock Creek and in the river two miles below the dam.
SPENCE: Water lightly stained; 55 degrees; 49.32' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. White bass are slow. Striped bass and hybrid striper are slow. Catfish are slow.
STAMFORD: Water lightly stained; 56 degrees; 1.04' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. White and striped bass are fair on live baits. Catfish are fair on live and cut baits.
SWEETWATER: Water lightly stained; 57 degrees; 4.43' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. White bass are slow. Catfish are slow.
WHITE RIVER: Water lightly stained; 56 degrees; 30.67' low. Black bass are fair on Cotton Candy soft plastics, white spinnerbaits, and live baits along tree lines and rocky points. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Walleye are fair on live baits and crankbaits. Channel catfish are fair on live baits.
WICHITA: Water turbid; 60 degrees; 1.48' low. Crappie are good near pavilion pilings and off dam. White bass and hybrid striped bass are fair on minnows or live shad in front of the dry spillway area. Channel catfish are fair drift fishing with shad and on trotlines. Boat launching is difficult due to low water conditions.
COASTAL
NORTH SABINE: Trout are fair to good while wading the Louisiana shoreline on She Dogs and red shad soft plastics. Redfish and flounder are good on live bait in the marsh.
SOUTH SABINE: Trout are good at the Causeway Reef on plum, fire tiger and glow/chartreuse Bass Assassins, Sand Eels, Red Killers and live shrimp. Black drum and sheepshead are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs.
BOLIVAR: Trout are fair to good at Rollover Pass on Little Fishies, DOA Shrimp and Bass Assassins. Redfish, black drum, and whiting are good on the beachfront on fresh dead shrimp and crabs.
TRINITY BAY: Trout are fair to good on the east shoreline on She Dogs, Super Spooks and glow plastics. Redfish, black drum and sheepshead are fair to good at the Spillway on shrimp.
EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good on protected shorelines in the evening on topwaters and Corkies. Redfish are good in the Intracoastal on shrimp. Black drum are good in the channel on crabs.
WEST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair over shell on live shrimp and red shad and plum Bass Assassins, Sand Eels and Red Killers. Redfish, whiting and sheepshead are good on cut-bait from the beachfront.
TEXAS CITY: Black drum are good on cracked crabs and shrimp off the piers on the dike and at the Drum Hole. Trout and flounder are fair to good at Dollar Reef and April Fool's Reef on live shrimp.
FREEPORT: Trout, redfish and sheepshead are fair to good at San Luis Pass, Cold Pass and Christmas Bay on live shrimp. Sheepshead and redfish are fair to good along the jetties on live shrimp.
EAST MATAGORDA: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on red shad, plum and fire tiger Bass Assassins, Red Killers, Sand Eel Jr's and topwaters. Redfish are fair on the shorelines on spoons and topwaters.
MATAGORDA: Trout and redfish are fair to good on the south shoreline on pepper/chartreuse Bass Assassins, Sand Eels and Red Killers. Best bite has been in the afternoon. Redfish and black drum are fair to good in Oyster Lake and at Shell Island on shrimp under a popping cork in the evening.
PORT O'CONNOR: Trout and redfish are fair to good at the mouths of the back bays and bayous on small topwaters and soft plastics. Redfish, black drum and sheepshead are fair to good on shrimp at the jetty.
ROCKPORT: Trout and redfish are fair to good on the Estes Flats on She Dogs, Top Dogs and Super Spook Jr's. Trout and redfish are fair to good for drifters working around Dagger Island on topwaters and live shrimp.
PORT ARANSAS: Sheepshead and black drum are fair to good at the North Jetty on live shrimp. Redfish and sheepshead are good on crabs and shrimp around Hog Island and off the beachfront piers.
CORPUS CHRISTI: Trout, black drum, redfish and sheepshead are fair to good on live shrimp off the piers. Redfish and black drum are fair to good on shrimp and crabs in the channel near the causeway.
BAFFIN BAY: Trout are fair on plum and glow Bass Assassins, Trout Killers, Sand Eels and Corkies around the rocks and at the Meadows. Black drum and redfish are good on crabs at the Land Cut.
PORT MANSFIELD: Trout are fair to good on live shrimp in the Intracoastal. Trout and redfish are fair to good on live shrimp around the Land Cut. Black drum are good on crabs in the channels.
SOUTH PADRE: Trout are fair to good at Laguna Vista on live shrimp and plum plastics. Trout, redfish and black drum are fair to good on live mullet and shrimp in South Bay. Redfish are good on topwaters and live shrimp in Airport Cove.
PORT ISABEL: Trout and redfish are good on live shrimp under a popping cork at the Gas Well Flats. Trout, black drum and flounder are good in the Intracoastal on live shrimp. Sheepshead and black drum are good on shrimp at the jetty.
